Fattoush is a classic Middle Eastern salad made with chopped tomato, romaine, herbs, and cucumber. It’s usually topped with small pieces of crispy, deep-fried pita bread and generously sprinkled with sumac, a delicious, tart spice with a slight raisin or sun-dried quality and bright crimson color.
