Silvana has THE BEST gf recipes, hands-down. Her oatmeal chocolate chip cookies fool all my gluten-eating friends and that chicken parm dish is a favorite at our house. After my son was diagnosed with Celiac 4 yrs ago, her cookbook showed me that gf food (especially sweets) can taste good. GF doesn’t have to be vegan, low- sugar, healthy. Someone who can’t eat gluten can still have cake that tastes like cake– sweet and delicious in all its sugary glory.

Maya, I know what you mean about gluten-free desserts. Many of my friends have gluten sensitivity, which is not fake, by the way. The brilliant Yale gastro doc Michael Bennick told me that many people he has seen report to him that they truly feel better eating gluten-free as much as possible.
