We Ask “Ask Amy” Columnist Amy Dickinson About Food and Family

Amy Dickinson's Strangers Tend to Tell Me ThingsIf you don’t know author Amy Dickinson from NPR’s game show Wait. . .Wait Don’t Tell Me!®, you certainly know her from her “Ask Amy” advice column, which runs in more than 150 newspapers. It’s no secret that Wait. . .Wait is Faith’s favorite radio show, so we asked Amy to join us on The Food Schmooze® to talk about her new memoir, Strangers Tend to Tell Me Things. There aren’t any recipes in this book, unless you find Amy’s bold (and tender) admissions of vulnerability a kind of recipe for developing the resilience middle-age requires.

ON-DEMAND: Listen to Faith’s conversation with Amy.

LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS BOOK: You can hear another conversation with Amy (in person!) when Amy and friend-of-the-show Gina Barreca sit down together at R.J. Julia Booksellers in Madison, CT, on Thursday, June 1, at 7:00 PM. The book talk is free, but do register ahead if you’d like to go.
