Meet Rosie, a chicken and prolific egg-layer at Marleen Cenotti and Andy White’s Connecticut house. Egg-laying is not the most interesting thing about Rosie, though; she has taken it upon herself to become Andy and Marleen’s devoted companion, following the couple everywhere they go, as if she were a dog. The next time you’re on the Connecticut shoreline just past New Haven, if you see a chicken in a lounge chair wearing sunglasses, my guess is it’s Rosie. — FM
