Grana is arguably the best pizza and pasta on The East End of L.I. Recently, this charming spot in Jamesport was named one of the Top 50 Restaurants on all of Long Island, which is no easy feat for a small, unfussy Trattoria. Many of the pastas are homemade, as is every sauce; the pizza flour is the finest available; the mozzarella is handmade; and the recipes are from small towns and cities across Italy, where the owners vacation as often as possible. What a find Grana is… though a tough spot for the hard of hearing. (Somehow restaurants have forgotten about foam under the table-tops and carpets on the floor to reduce crazy-noisy to something a little more reasonable.) — FM
