Sip it in your favorite chair, with mac and cheese, roast chicken, chili or pizza. La Font 2012 is a French Rhone wine with real character, nice body and a firm grip so that it matches well with an array of foods we love. At $20, a very good buy. Thanks to wine broker Alex Province for bringing this in for me to taste. Take the label to the wine store on your phone or use it to read to them if you call ahead. Be sure to say, “The distributor is Winebow.” They can look it up quickly that way. — FM

Faith,
I am a person who loves the idea of wine, especially a red, but have never found one that appeals. Listening to your show on my way home from work today, 12/3/15, you made La Font come alive with your verbal skills and lovely voice! I will go find a bottle of this for my sister and convince her to share some with me.
Thank you,
Jilly

Jilly, I’m so glad it made good listening, and I want to support you in not liking wine overall. It could be you haven’t found one that suits your palate, or it could be you simply don’t enjoy wine. There’s no harm in that! Thanks for writing!
Cheers,
Faith

I love wine. My taste seems to have changed and for almost a year I haven’t wanted any sort of red While listening to you and Alex talk about this wine I couldn’t get to my local bottle shop (The Wise Old Dog) fast enough. I walked right in and showed the owner the picture and he walked right over to the rack and handed me the bottle. It was so great and tastes exactly as it was described.

Donna,
It thrills me to hear that. We want the label shots to be useful and so glad the owner had it in stock. I often tell people to call ahead and spell the words on the phone so as not to make an extra trip. Glad you enjoyed! Cheers, Faith
