From Faith: Chef Bill Taibe’s Le Farm is considered one of Connecticut’s treats, as restaurants go, very farm-to-table, the food very well prepared. But chefs get itchy, and Taibe has decided to scratch that itch with a twist on Japanese tavern food. His Kawa Ni, located on the Saugatuck River in Westport, Connecticut, features a wide selections of appetizers, sushi (hard to find in Greater Westport), and entrees, with beers and sakes to match. Just out of the gate, Kawa Ni is getting some good early reviews, and we can’t wait to try it since we’re fans of brothy noodle soups (ramen.) Prices are what you’d expect on prime real estate anywhere on the Gold Coast, but more affordable than some. Once again, Taibe is working closely with local farmers to source ingredients.
