Homemade Stain Remover

Cook’s Illustrated recently published a great tip from reader Robin Inman of Malden, Massachusetts about removing red wine from fabrics.

She says all you have to do is combine equal parts hydrogen peroxide and dish detergent. Pour the solution on the stain and it should disappear within an hour. They recommend testing the solution on an inconspicuous spot first. Or, you could just do what Chris Prosperi does and buy red carpeting.
