Named for the notorious leader of the Las Vegas Dodge City Gang, the barbecue restaurant Hoodoo Brown has been swamped since Memorial Day, when it opened just off Rt. 7 in Ridgefield, Conn. There have been lines even on weeknights. The owners say they’re dipping into the best of many barbecue styles across the South. Like the South, portions are huge, a half pound per serving. Wash it all down with Connecticut beers featured at Hoodoo’s lively bar.
