In the glass this wine looks like salmon rose petals, and in the mouth, especially with food, it’s sumptuous. Meet the new 2015 rosé, Clos de Lumieres, just released from the South of France and sold in our region. At $14 a bottle, it’s a value wine, especially since this vintage benefitted from a very hot summer, producing a food-friendly wine with supple body. We like sipping it by itself, well-chilled, or having it with salad, chicken, pork, seafood or beef.
If you like to know winemaker recipes, the vineyard blended a variety of grapes, including Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre to come up with this terrific spring/summer wine.
Call ahead and read the label to your wine store associate and tell him or her that the distributor is Winebow. The store should have it for you within 24 hours.
