Salty-Sweet Chocolate Pretzels, Gluten-Free

url-1If you love the salty-sweet thing going on with chocolate-covered pretzels, we found a good brand for gluten-free friends,  Glutino Fudge pretzels, available in many supermarkets.

If you can’t find Glutino, or you’d rather have them fresh, chocolate-covered pretzels can be a snap to make. Slowly melt dark, milk or semi-sweet chocolate in a pan. (You could toss in a couple of spoons of peanut or cashew butter.) Stir until blended. Throw in your favorite pretzels and stir until all the pretzels are covered. Remove pretzels with tongs and place on an aluminum foil-covered baking sheet and allow to cool and set. You can also pop the tray in the refrigerator. If you prefer, use melted chocolate to cover your favorite crackers, granola, potato chips or dried fruit. Now we’re waiting for Glutino to make its pretzels in darker chocolate.

      Hi, Judy,
If you go to the gluten-free aisle of the supermarket you’ll probably find Glutinous brand chocolate covered pretzels. Those are pretty good, though I add salt since I think they could use it. The best chocolate covered pretzels use dark chocolate.
      Best, Faith
