There is plenty of rosé tasting time as the weather cools, and what a lovely one we found, sporting aromatics of pomegranate and raspberries in the glass. What’s more, this dry 2015 “Sofia” Rosé from the Coppola Vineyard in Sonoma makes for a beautiful presentation with its classic champagne bottle shape. (This is a still wine, though, not a sparkler.) Call ahead to your wine store and tell them they can look up the wine under Connecticut Distributors. Sofia usually sells for around $16 a bottle, a good price point for a host wine gift. Very food-friendly and a nice sipper, even without food. Best served very cold.
