The Red Ribbon by Nancy Freund Bills & A Search for Tapioca Pudding

The Red Ribbon by Nancy Freund BillsThis month, watch for a riveting memoir called The Red Ribbon by Nancy Freund Bills. While the book is about what happened when two members of the same family were struck by lightning, in its pages I found an incomplete but nevertheless enchanting reference to Betty Crocker’s 1963 tapioca pudding recipe. It was, says the author, all these decades later, the most delicious tapioca she’s ever tasted. Her memoir is something, trust me, and now I’m on a hunt for this specific 1963 recipe. Anybody? (The Red Ribbon is out May 28, published by She Writes Press.)
