From Faith: Fine art photographer Barry Seidman wanders through farmer’s markets in search of vegetables he thinks would make alluring subjects for studio treatment. While some are physically or digitally manipulated, according to Seidman, a former commercial photographer, many are just as he discovered them.
It’s a painstaking process once Seidman selects something, involving complicated lighting, backdrops, cameras, pedestals, angles, computers, and his vision.
You can see the portraits up close right now at Swifty’s Restaurant on the Upper East Side of New York, where they will hang until March.
