Wines to Match Bánh Mì and Lots More

H&BThere are so many flavors in a bánh mì sandwich, we thought we might stump our wine guy Mark Raymond. But of course we didn’t; he came up with two wines, a red and white under $15, that are delicious with all sorts of grilled foods. They’re also perfect wines for bánh mì.

H & B Languedoc, $14
This white is fresh and has body, almost a mineral quality; great for grilled chicken, pork, and salads, or just for sipping.

Michel Torino Pinot Noir, $14
A light summer red with fruit and oak; it has stand-up character and charm. Put it in the fridge 15 minutes before serving.

Call ahead to your favorite wine store to ask if they have these on the shelves. If not, tell them the distributor is Frederick Wildman & Sons. They should have the wine for you in 24 hours.
