Our top brunch cocktail this week from Anthony DeSerio features a Prosecco that dazzles thanks to the addition of a little of the world’s best raspberry liqueur, made by St. George Spirits in California and now available in New England and New York liquor stores. Whether you add St. George’s raspberry liqueur to Prosecco, club soda, a margarita or drizzle it over cake and ice cream — its intense raspberry flavor is a knockout and tastes like a bucket-full of fresh berries just picked from the bush. St. George’s is not filled with chemicals or flavor enhancers; it’s simply brandy and fresh raspberry juice. (Be sure to call the store and ask if they stock St. George’s or will order it for you.) The Distributor is Worldwide, and the liqueur runs about $35 per bottle.

In this not-too sweet cocktail, Prosecco finally gets invited to brunch, thanks to a fresh, yet intense, raspberry liqueur introduced to us by Anthony DeSerio. We used Mionetto for the Prosecco, though any Prosecco will do, so use whatever brand you like. When guests arrive for brunch, it's just fun to say, "Kir Royale?" And we think it's perfect for people who prefer low-alcohol cocktails.
