Louise Fili, the legendary graphic designer and master of unique typefaces is being honored by New York City’s School of Visual Arts with a Masters Series Award and Exhibition. The retrospective includes all of Louise’s book jackets, branding, food packaging, and the many restaurant logos and menus she’s designed throughout her almost 40 year career. The exhibition will be on view from October 14 through December 10 at the SVA Gramercy Gallery, located at 209 East 23rd Street.
TUNE IN: Listen to Faith’s conversation with Louise about what it takes to design seductive food packaging, restaurant logos, and menus, and to find out where Louise loves to eat in New York these days. Louise also shares the backstory to many of her designs, including the 92 restaurant sign and the logo for Gelato Fiasco.
