Hi, I just bought a slow cooker and my husband said “Everyone on Food Schmooze is not using their crock pots but instead the instant pot! I looked up some of the models, but there are quite a few out there now. Can you tell me if there is one you are using and like? Thanks so much! We have had the pleasure of meeting Chris at his restaurant(s) and love the short ribs so am looking forward to some guidance!
Hi Vikki: The most basic model is good to start with. It’s called Instant Pot Duo. If you get one and start cooking with it, let us know how it goes!
what size pot do I need for this cookbook…..3 quart or 6?
Hi Stephen. The cookbook includes recipes for for all current sizes/models of the Instant Pot. The most basic Instant Pot is a 6-quart, in case you’re wondering. Recipes include notes for adjustments you’ll need to make if you’re using a 3-quart or 8-quart model–or if a recipe simply won’t work in one of those sizes. You won’t have to do any guessing.
Hi Faith,
Today i listened to the show for the third time. twice on the radio and now online. I had been thinking of buying the Ninja Foodi because it does everything an Instant Pot does but additionally it is an Air Fryer also,
Will the recipes in this book work in the Foodi as well?
Thanks
Thanks for listening, Kathy! We’re not sure if these recipes will work as written using a Ninja Foodi; we haven’t tried it. If you do, report back!
