Fantastic Watermelon-Lime Martini

Since everyone on The Food Schmooze Party crew loves watermelon, we asked contributor Alex Province to create a cocktail using it. His fabulous Watermelon-Lime Martini was born, shaken vigorously and served icy cold. We think it’s one of the best “martinis” we’ve ever had.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup watermelon chopped
  • 1/4 lime (one wedge and its zest)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 shots vodka
  • ice
Servings:
Instructions
  1. Add watermelon, lime wedge, and sugar into shaker and crush with back of wooden spoon until smooth.
  2. Add vodka and ice then shake until icy cold.
  3. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with the lime zest.
