ON-DEMAND: Listen to Faith and the gang rave about this wine during our Food Schmooze® holiday road trip.
VIDEO: Watch Faith, Alex Province, and Mark Raymond taste and describe this wine paired with our holiday showstopper beef tenderloin.
This is one of my all-time favorite red wines to drink at the holidays, or anytime. This luscious Spanish beauty, Museum Real Reserva, 2010, costs about $20 a bottle but drinks like a $40 bottle. Bright fruit, elegant in the mouth and fabulous with food. Old vines, 100% Temperanillo grapes. When you call the wine store, tell them the distributor is Brescome Barton. If it’s not on the shelf, a good store should have it for you in 24 hours. (Prices might vary from store to store, though standard markup should put this wine at $20, or less by the case.)
